beautiful-shapes: Brian Joubert Euro 2012, SP His short program was really disappointing.. too many mistakes. And the free program - I was quite surprised because this was the 3rd time when he brought the Matrix theme for a championship -  was powerless. It’s just one thing that he couldn’t come up with something new but he did this program much-much better in the past. I didn’t feel he wants to win. I didn’t feel the passion. I’m so disappointed and I really hope “we” have hope and better results in the future..

Brian Joubert & The Matrix (2004)

8 years ago this was so great. Special. Memorable. He became the figure skater I was barracking for. Every year. But somehow there was always somebody who could beat him. Not always Plushenko who the biggest challenge is for everyone in the championships I think. Brian has changed, and not in a good way.. I always have hope but possibly it’s time for another generation where he has too many difficulties.

Today he only got the 8th place on the EC. Quite unpromising before the WC..
