Best Albums of 2012 (12-15.)
#12 Zulu Winter: Language
I think their album is not that catchy for the first time. For me it was easier since first I’ve heard them live and there I already fall in love with some of their songs. But I didn’t like everything on this album and I needed some time to pay attention to the songs. In the end it turned out good of course, and we’re friends now.
Listen: Silver Tongue, We Should Be Swimming
#13 Carlos Cipa: The Monarch And The Viceroy
One of the two great pianists I got to know this year. His album is such lovely, melodic and incredible, and you won’t hear anything else but the piano. No electronic stuff, no other instruments, only the piano. And even with this one instrument you’ll hear so many miracles.
Listen: The Whole Truth, Human Stain
#14 Feeder: Generation Freakshow
They have so many albums already but they still can make good records. I wouldn’t say this is their best but at least it’s very likeable. Say hello to easy rock songs with some American style from a British band.
Listen: Borders, Sunrise
#15 The Fray: Scars & Stories
I wasn’t that impressed by this album but since I loved the previous albums of them, I wouldn’t just simply forget them. Scars & Stories has some really great moments but I wish I didn’t get bored sometimes. Anyway, it still could get the last place here.
Listen: Heartbeat, Rainy Zurich
